I hope you had a great time with your family and friends over the holidays. I know I did! Now we’re already back in the saddle with a whole new year of oppurtunity and challenges. On the 27th we (me and the singers) went to NY to do a youth conference called “The Joshua Revolution”. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many young people (4000) on fire for the Lord. I was uneasy when first asked to lead worship because my past few experiences leading worship for youth have been hard. Let me tell you these kids were worshiping before I could get out the first note. They were not playing…it was great to see God work. After that I went to Hampton VA. I performed with a young lady named Sara Kelly. She’s no joke! I ended up staying over for the Sunday services and once again got a chance to see God move. There’s nothing better than watching God “pass you up” during a “show”. There were moments when I was speechless. I just wanted to go sit in the audience and worship. That’s when I realized that I was part of the audience cause we were all there to worship Him. No artists and entertainers we wanted HIM! It was great. I want every event that I do to be exactly that. The moment I walk on stage I want to “pass the baton” to Christ and have Him do His thing. My job is to stay close to Him the 23 hours I spend off the stage and then just let that hour on stage be an outpouring of stuff that He’s already doing. I want to keep Him the main thing. It’s so easy to get distracted. Just remember that nothing physical and seen is as important as that which is Spiritual and unseen! Keep Focused (I’m talking to myself too!)

Merry Christmas! We’re back from Africa and getting ready for Christmas!
It was a great trip even though i’ts taken me a few days to recover from 23 hours of travel! We got on 3 planes, did 2 shows, (lost a camera!), hung out and met some new people, ran around to different events, and got on 3 planes to travel 23 more hours so we could get back…all this in 4 days! It was well worth it though. I had a great time learning about another culture and having my eyes opened about what it really means to be thankful for what I have. I watched people selling things on the side of the road in hopes that they would make enough to eat that night. I don’t know if I have ever been in the position of hoping that I would have enough money to eat for the day. Most of the time I’m hoping that I won’t eat too much! It’s amazing cause when people have less they always seem to be more thankful and gracious for the “little things”. I was challenged to open my eyes to the blessings and check myself before I decide to complain about anything.
Pictures of the trip will be up soon and maybe I’ll get a new camera for Christmas and not leave it on another plane.
Remember why we celebrate this season and I’ll be catching up to you soon,
Anthony

I hope you had a good Thanksgiving. This one was really special for me and my family. We went on a four day cruise to Cozumel Mexico. We had to spend uninterupted time together cause we were out in middle of the ocean! You should be able to check out some pics from the trip in the photoscrap book. We had a great time hanging out. When we got to Mexico we rented some mopeds and a couple of Jeeps, went to the beach and spent a few hours just enjoying each others company…it was great.
Lately I’ve been praying aobut what the Lord wants to do with my ministry. He’s in the process of building something and in this process sometimes I stop, look and wonder what He’s doing. What I have to remember is that what He’s doing is not always visible to me. I’m honored and thankful to be here and your and my goal should be to remain faithful and know that He’s doing something that we wouldn’t believe if we were told. Hab 1:5
Talk to you later,

After 24 hours of travel we are here! Ghana is beautiful and we are having a good time so far. Last night when we got here there were children in the lobby of the hotel doing traditional African dance for us…it was great. Kirk was really tired and didn’t care so he jumped in with them! After arriving we went to dinner where the fact that we were tired was really evident. We just ate and laughed at things that normally aren’t that funny.
Speaking of things that aren’t that funny, I think I might have lost my camera on the way here. When we arrived I went to get it out of my bag and…nothing. I am positive I brought it, but I can’t find it. It’s probably on it’s way back to the U.S.A under someone’s seat. I’ll try to get some of the pics from some of the group on the site soon so you can see what’s going on.
Our first show is tonight and we are excited. I’ll let you know how it goes. Please be praying with me about the rest of this trip and for the tour in the spring.
Happy Holidays,
Anthony

Hey everyone I just got home from the hopeville tour and I’m looking forward to the holidays. Over the next few days I get to hang out with my family and I know we’re going to have a good time! The tour ended well. We were tired but it was great. It’s always a learning experience out on the road. This run was a lesson in patient contentment. More on that later. You may have noticed the new link to World Vision on the home page. I’m honored to be associated with such a unique organization. On Dec 16th I’m going to Africa to see the kids that I’m supporting through World Vision. I know you’ve heard it a lot, but it’s so easy for us to get caught up in our “American” lives and forget that there is a world of huting people who need our help. You have the power to change the life of a child. What’s great is that if you choose to you can actually get to know them through correspondence and there are a whole bunch of special things you can give to your child through this organization. World Vision is an organization that is dedicated to the gospel and to saving childrens lives. They have put together an easy way for us to do something significant for children in a part of the world that many of us may never experience. Please just look into the option of saving a child’s life.

Hebrews 10:35-36 is the verse that is keeping me alive right now. “So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to perservere so that when you have done the will of God, you will recieve what He has promised.” These last few days of “Hopeville” have been hard for me. I admit I haven’t had the best attitude and I need to refocus on my calling and be confident and give my all to what I know the Lord has called me to do. Sometimes it’s so easy to be short sighted and forget about the big picture. The Lord hasn’t necessiarly called me to be comfortable all the time. He has a plan that is broader than anything I can see in the “right now” and at times that plan may involve some uncomfortable situations. I’m learning…
Right now we’re in Savannah GA on a day off. We only have 3 more shows!! I’m ready to see my family and relax for a while. I hope everything is going well.

I’m on the phone with Andrea one of Donnie’s background singers and sisters. She’s telling me about things to watch out for in ministry. Sometimes I don’t see through certain things….well Andrea, Seth and Olivia do and they will let me know (very bluntly)! It’s great to have friends around that will watch out for you.
Well, today were in Macon, GA. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with a day off here. I think I might just go to a movie…do they have movies here?! I’m not sure, all I see is a Waffle House. No, just kidding. We only have two more weeks out here and I’m looking forward to going home and hanging out with my family.
We’ll talk soon,
Anthony

We just pulled into Richmond after an all night drive. Last night we were in Buffalo NY. It was a great show. We are all having to dig deep when it comes to staying “up” for the rest of the tour. A lot of the time all the traveling gets you tired and you give less on some nights. Kirk challenged us last night to be good stewards of the gift that God’s given us. He said that doing anything half way is not what the Lord deserves no matter what. That was a wake up call to me.
About a week and a half ago we had a day off and I got to come home for a couple days. My nephhew was getting dedicated at chuch and some friends of mine that are on another tour were in town. I got to spend some time with my family and then we (me, Avalon, Matthew West and Mark Schultz) all decided to go horse back riding. It was great. We went riding all day at Pine Cove! Tim (the head of the horse program) and his wife Tracy took one of their days off to let us have a good time. At the end of the day we even got to go “Bull” riding (it was really a big steer)! In a couple of days you should be able to check out some pics of us riding in my photo scrapbook!! We had a lot of fun and for some (Jody) fear turned into a pretty good time!
Well, I’ll let you know how the show goes tonight. Talk to you soon,
Anthony
