We worked hard on “Undisguised”. Here’s a couple clips of two of the songs.
“Wait”
I wrote “Wait” with one of my best friends. We went into the sanctuary of a church here in Nashville, opened the word to Is 40:31 and this is what we came up with.
“Rejoice”
“Rejoice” was initially written in the green room of Gateway Church in Southlake, TX. I was backstage waiting to go out and started singing the chorus. Kari Jobe was leading worship that day and I asked her if she wanted to come to Nashville and help finish it. So long story short she ended up co-writing it with me along with Michael Boggs and she also sang it as a duet on the record.

Anthony will be teaming with some of the nations most gifted worship leaders again for the National Worship Leader Conference 2010. This year Anthony will be leading worship at the Southwest regional conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The conference, which is slated for June 15th – 17th, includes Dr. Leonard Sweet, Israel Houghton, and Tommy Walker to name a few.
Anthony has just put the finishing touches on his forthcoming project “Undisguised,” which is scheduled to release on January 26th 2010. Writing a great deal of the music, Anthony partnered with worship leaders Michael Boggs, Kari Jobe and Jason Cox, as well as award winning and Grammy nominated songwriter Jason Ingram to bring you his most personal, worshipful and transparent record to date.

If the Christmas record is not enough, Anthony is currently working towards completing his 4th major release, Undisguised. Set to release January 26th, 2010, Undisguised is a kind of sequel to The Bridge (2008), where Evans shares his personal brokenness and removes his mask, allowing him to worship from a new perspective.

The holiday season starts early in 2009 as Anthony Evans has just put the finishing touches on What Christmas Means, a Christmas classic that includes timeless versions of such standards as “Do You Hear What I Hear,” “Little Drummer Boy” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” Like only he can, Anthony moves into contemporary classics such as “What Christmas Means to Me,” “This Christmas” and “Grown Up Christmas List.” Topping off the record is an original, “Immanuel,” that will leave you in tears as you contemplate the fact that our God is with us still!
“What Christmas Means…” is not only the CD’s title, it is a question every individual must ask themselves. Anthony’s definition can be found, not only in the very list of the CD’s compositions, but in every heart-felt note he sings. Anthony’s distinctive voice and unique style give a very real and uplifting look into what Christmas really means.

The past few months have been crazy, but I’m starting to see the results of hard work. With “What Christmas Means,” my new Christmas album finally released, the workload is starting to get a little more manageable. We are right in the middle of working on my newest project, “Undisguised,” which will be releasing January 26, 2010. I see the light at the end of the tunnel, but I’m still very much in the tunnel! Also, I just finished up shooting a video for my Christmas single, “Immanuel.” More detail to come!
